Recruit, hire, train, schedule and otherwise manage all employees as well as contract workers as needed Manage marginal performers to reach the desired effectiveness Organize workflow and prescribe procedures that enable the hotel to meet or exceed expectations of guests and owners Hotel Financial Performance:
Set room rates for all In Pool (IP) units by performing online rate reviews and other activities Monitor bookings and adjust rates as needed; create promotions and monitor results Select Online Travel Sites to reach as many desired guests as possible, while maximizing rates and length of stays, guest quality and other parameters that drive hotel profitability and success Assemble a team of full-time, part-time, and on-call employees or contractors to match labor $ to revenue $ Select linens and other amenities to balance cost and the quality we represent Maintenance:
Track all reported room or facilities issues and assign and monitor progress of corrective action, attracting quality staff to perform as many actions as possible internally to minimize use of outside contractors With the Board's help, decide when contractors are necessary and find those and monitor their promptness, cost and effectiveness As directed by the Board, obtain multiple bids for larger projects and monitor their completion Special Hospitality Industry Demands:
Personally and through the team you build, ensure that the following standards are met:
Hotel is staffed when needed Emergency or after-hours calls are handled promptly Busy season demands are met; vacations scheduled accordingly Holidays are covered Accept other duties as assigned or identified Key Job Requirements:
Prior Management or Supervisory Experience Attendance Reliability (Vital in our small hotel) Ability to Learn and Manipulate Sophisticated Hotel Software to Achieve Critical Goals Hospitality Experience Helpful Great Customer Service Skills Ability to Build & Manage Team Job Type:
